Oh the love of God is wide
Wider than the universe
There is no one anywhere
Who cannot be loved by God
And the wonder of all wonders
Is that God even loves us
That he knows our hearts and still he loves us
Oh the love of God is long,
Longer than we’ll ever know
Since before the world began
And forever on and on
There will never be a time
When the love of God runs out
So in worship we will sing about…
How wide and long,
how high and deep
Is the love of Christ the Lord
I pray that you and all God’s people
Have the power to
understand this love.
Oh the love of God is high,
Higher than the highest height
God has loved us in the heavens
With a perfect kind of love
Though we really don’t deserve
Such a high and gracious love
God has shared with us a love of such heights
Oh the love of God is deep,
Deeper than the deepest sea
Love so strong and ever giving
Jesus died for you and me
Crucified upon the cross
Punished for the wrong I’ve done
And then risen from the dead to show…
